SAO is proud to announce the 3.11 WOLFS New Enhancement Forum will be held on May 16, 2017 at Laramie County Community College. At this special event, we will be holding six, 30-minute breakout sessions to share with you what the 3.11 WOLFS Project is all about, what’s changing, and how we will be moving into the future. These sessions will cover the new chart of accounts, the new budget structures, data entry reduction, the roadmap for the project, our methods for communicating to you as we go forward, the new evolution of our training program, and our plans for the future. SAO will be there along with CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc. and Plante & Moran so we can demystify the process and answer your questions.

Agenda

May 16, 2017

There will be two sessions, one in the morning from 8:30 A.M. to 12:15 P.M. and the second in the afternoon from 1:00 P.M. to 4:45 P.M. Each session will be split into the following smaller, interactive, focus groups.

  • Roadmap & What’s New  A discussion of the goals, changes, and project schedule.
  • Chart of Accounts  Learn about the federal fund segregation and Chart of Accounts (COA) modeling project.
  • Join the Wolf Pack – See where you can get the latest news on the project.
  • Budget Structure – Preview the new expense, revenue, grant, and project budget structures.
  • Data Entry Reduction – Learn options, tips, and tricks for reducing your data entry.
  • LMS & Training – Find out more about the future of our training program.

NEW! Public Records Rule

Required under W.S. 16-3-103(j)(ii), the State Auditor's Office has adopted the Department of Administration and Information's uniform rules pertaining to procedures, fees, costs, and charges for inspecting, copying, and producing public records.  The State Auditor's Public Records Rule can be found attached here, and by searching the Administrative Rules website at rules.wyo.gov.  Please contact saoadmin@wyo.gov if you have any additional questions.

Public Notice is hereby given that the Wyoming State Auditor's Office intends to adopt new Rules on Public Records Requests, which pertain to the Fees, Costs, and Charges for Inspection, Copying and Producing Public Records.  Copies of the Proposed rules may be obtained on the Wyoming Administrative Rules System: https://rules.wyo.gov by using the advanced search for proposed rules, or by contacting the State Auditor's Office, State Capitol, Cheyenne, WY 82002 (307)777-7831.  Public comments regarding the rules may be submitted by email via the Rules System at http://rules.wyo.gov by using the advanced search for proposed rules and the provided public comments link.  The public comment period ends January 30, 2017.
A public hearing on these rules has not been scheduled.  A public hearing will be held if requested by 25 persons, by a governmental subdivision, or by an organization having not less than 25 members. 

NEW infoAdvantage Reporting System:

Effective September 9, the new infoAdvantage Reporting System will be implemented. This robust reporting tool allows HRM and WOLFS users the ability to run reports when they need them! Users will be able to access infoAdvantage and locate reports more easily with system availability expanded as well. The State Auditor’s Office has provided additional resource materials as well as lab sessions for users to explore the system thoroughly.

OFFICE RELOCATION

The State Auditor's Office is relocating to 2020 Carey Avenue due to the Capitol Renovation and Restoration project. The move will occur between October 26 to October 30.  Our main office will be located on the 8th floor beginning November 2.
