Wyoming State Auditor Kristi Racines announced today the appointment of her Deputy Director. Racines has chosen Eydie Trautwein, the current Director of Legal Resources and Judicial Education at the Wyoming Supreme Court.

Trautwein, an attorney, is originally from Wheatland, Wyoming. She received both her undergraduate and law degree from the University of Wyoming. Following law school, Trautwein was in private practice for several years before joining state government. She worked at the Wyoming Department of Health, Department of Family Services, and Guardian ad Litem Division before accepting a position at the Wyoming Supreme Court. Some of her most significant contributions to the court include the development of the Wyoming Judicial Learning Center, advancement of judicial education, and improvement of outcomes for abused and neglected children in Wyoming’s court system.

“I am excited Eydie has agreed to fill this important leadership role,” said Racines. “In addition to her legal expertise and knowledge of state government, Eydie brings a strong work ethic,management experience, and a collaborative style to the office. She will be instrumental in implementing our goals of accountability, efficiency, and transparency.”
