Roles and Responsibilities
The Payroll Division oversees the State of Wyoming’s payroll system including the Employee Self Service (ESS) and Manager Self Service (MSS) systems. This division provides maintenance and payroll training to all agency users and state employees. The Payroll Division processes all payroll for state employees, patient and inmate workers at the state’s institutions, legislators, judges, members of the Wyoming National Guard, and all payments to payroll vendors. This division is also responsible for all payroll tax reporting, wage garnishments and employment verification.
